Answer» I shut down my pc for a week to GO on vacation. I got BACK and turned it on and tried to check email. My computer went into a shut down/restart. It came back on with a BLACK screen that reads Memory test fail. Then after 2 minutes the black screen starts to go crazy with lines both black and white and color to the point where you see nothing but the lines. I don't know a lot about computers, so any help will be much appreciated. My mother board is a couple of years old. Socket 478 system board with a Pentium 4 processor. Let me know if more specs are needed. Turn computer off. Open computer CASE. Clean inside, USING can of compressed air. Ground yourself. Re-seat RAM.
