Solve : Memory Usage - Music - Space on computer?

Answer»

I recently BOUGHT a new ipod. Everyone knows that with an ipod you need itunes, and with itunes you need music. Before I started downloading music I had 415GB Free. All of a sudden I WENT down to 404GB Free. When I check My Music Folder it says I only used up 1.36GB..so what in the world made my GB usage drop?

Is there a way that I can see what folders have taken up the most space?

The only thing that I have downloaded has been music, nothing else.

I'm using windows 7.

Any ideas? :/
They may not be in your My Music folder by default...
Check the iTunes folder.

The other quick way to see where they are landing is to do a search with *. and the file extension iTune uses. You can also try something like this:

Not used the program myself, but it may answer where your HDD space is going to. http://www.jam-software.com/freeware/Quote from: Allan on June 25, 2011, 04:53:55 PM

Or that, I wasn't to sure on the software but it had a good WOT rating so figured it would be OK. Unless there is some other location for "overdisk" the author has DISCONTINUED development (and availability) while he works on some bugs in it and promises to REINTRODUCE it "soon". truenorthYep my bad, should have looked harder. But the intention was sincere. No apology needed--no doubt about your intentions. Humans err. I certainly have and will, truenorthpatio - you were right, they weren't all in my music folder. silly me :l i should have guessed on that.
