Solve : Message pop-up on screen?

I GET this message off and on but always when I boot up,
Could not find the file "flash.ocx"
I just close this box down, and don't know what to do to get rid of this. It started a few months AGO.
I am running Windows XP Professional version 5.1You may need to update adobe flash player,or uninstall it,
then re-install.
