I am new to this question thing and am also fairly computer illiterate. Please be simple with me!!!

My problem is my mouse and clicking. When I use my back button, I go back two screens almost everytime. Then I use the forward button and go forward two screens. I do this back and forth until it works or I start again. I am clicking slowly, fast, waiting a few SECONDS, and I also have sped up and slowed down my mouse just incase this was the problem? Any ideas, this is driving me crazy. Another click problem is when I am in mail and wish to delete an item, it usually takes the item above or below with it? When I open mail and click out, often times it takes me back to desk top? Do I need a new mouse?

RedwingGo to Control Panel/Mouse and make the neccessary adjustments to your double-clik speed...from what you have stated you want to slow it down from where it is now.I had EXACTLY the same thing with a Genius Webscroll optical mouse, after I had owned it for about 6 months. I only had to touch the left button and it would PRODUCE about 4 or 5 clicks. I did what the other person here suggested, and fooled around with double click sensitivity, that brought 5 clicks every time I touched it once, down to only 2 or 3. The final solution -- wait for it -- was to BUY A NEW MOUSE.

A BRAND new optical mouse that cost me £4.99 in UK money, $10.00 in DOLLAR$. Don't be a cheap skate.
