Is it POSSIBLE to defrag my MFT which is now over 3gigs of fragged files! I've looked all over seeking an answer.
I have Acronis easy migrate but won't copy due to HD ERRORS. I want to copy my HD to a larger HD. Help
wsIf you are using Master File Table (MFT) for file copy and it has gone bad, you need to SPEAK to your system administratior.

BTW, you have not told us what OS you have and if this is a desktop or a server. If you have serious hardware errors, some data may be permantly lost.

If that is not help, and if the COMPANY administrator can not help you, come back here and provide some more details. There are some really sharp members hee that know the answer, they just need the details. Windows XP pro, Dell desktop XPS 420. A 320 gig HD.
I've tried chkdsk with no results. Used Diskeeper on re-boot. Thanks anyway folks.
