|
Answer» Every time I try to play a video FILE through Windows Media Player it give me an error and closes. I have to use 2nd and 3rd party programs to play DVD's and media files of most kinds. what error does it display.........update codecs..... The message is "Windows Media Player has encountered an error and must shut down. We are sorry for your INCONVENIENCE." I like to use Media Player because up until now it has always been a very good program. If you have a suggestion as to a better Media Player please suggest away LOL. Thanks The message is "Windows Media Player has encountered an error and must shut down. We are sorry for your inconvenience what does it say......^.besides the above.^It asks me if I want to send an error report to Microsoft and I usually CLICK on "Don't Send". It doesn't give any pertinent information at all.It wouldn't be such a pain but every time I receive a video file through email I have to go through with saving it and opening it with something different instead of just clicking on it to open it. I don't know if that makes any sense or not but anyway. What other third-programs do you use! was this downloading via the net.......or burnt to disk......I've been playing video with ATI Multimedia Center. Some of the files are downloaded and some are burnt to disk.So what third party software do you use for DVD - WinDVD, etc.ULEAD DVD PlayerAnd is it all updated? Does it work correctly?Everything works and is as up to date as I know how to make it. I suppose I'll just continue to do things the way I have been. Thanks for trying guys. |
