Answer» This STARTED about 1 week ago and I dont remember what program I uninstall and whenever I start my PC up I get this error..
Error LOADING C:\WINDOWS\mlmlll.dll
the specified module could not be found
check your PC for a virus. What OS is this? It looks like XP...which Service Pack? What protection do you have? Have you tried using System Restore to go BACK to a point before this happened? Does this file exist anywhere on your computer?I have Window XP home edition SP2...
I have NOD 32...
going to system restore now and will report backIt's been a few hours now...did System Restore make any difference for you?
Also, I think you should download AVG Free, update it, and scan with it in Safe Mode. Let it clean whatever it finds and let me know if it PICKS anything up.Sorry went out to dinner..
ok System Restore did not work so tommorrow I will be trying the AVG Free...What happened when you tried System Restore?
We'll leave the light on for you.ok after running AVG Free cleared all things it found but still not solved...
well I guess it times for a format been 2 months since the last one...Two reformats in two months? That's not a good sign.
It's probably quite a stretch, but you could give Start > Run > sfc /scannow (note the SPACE) a shot. You'll need your Windows CD.
You could also look around for any mention of this dll in the startup of msconfig or AVG Anti-Spyware (not the same as AVG Free).
I wish I could help more; it'd be a lot easier if I could actually find any information on this file. But I can't find any mention of it anywhere. You could post a HijackThis log, but there's only a slight chance of it helping. You never know, though.
