I am computer illiterate and do not know where to begin. I have Windows Xp and recently when I start my computer a box appears to inform me I am missing resource dll-ptsrc.dll. does any one know what this is and how can I correct it in step by step DETAILS .

ThanksThe file appears to be associated with Kodak EasyShare software. I don't have a solution for you, but the Kodak support site might.A google SEARCH for dll-ptsrc.dll reveals nothing useful. All I can suggest is reinstalling the software for your camera.

A dll is a dynamic link library which contains instructions that a program FOLLOWS to perform its task, simply put. (I think)I don't use the Kodak Easy share progam at all ...I know it is installed on the pc. I do have a web cam...i am assuming it isn't related to that. Can I delete the whole file re: Kodak?

Well, be sure, very sure, no-one uses this Kodak system.  Then do not delete it - uninstall it and if asked to delete any DLL files probably it is best to say NO as you cannot be sure what they are used for.

Uninstall via CONTROL Panel and Add/Remove Programs.
Amanda Maxwell.....It is associated with a Kodak program you must have installed on your pc.......If you dont use it , you may wish to remove it .....

dl65  I have a lot of dll missing problems, so this is what I do.  I simply re-install the program requring the dll, and then I uninstall again. This usually fixes the problem.
