Solve : Missing Formatting toolbar in Yahoo Mail Classic?

Greetings All !

My OS is Windows 2000 Professional
Browser IE 5.0
HD 4 Gigs with 1.5 unused
Memory 256 MB

Some months ago when composing in YAHOO mail the only part
of the Formatting toolbar that worked was Bold , Italics and Underline.
Then all of a sudden the toolbar disappeared. I t baffles me as in
Mail Options "Rich Text " is selected.

Question how do I regain the Formatting toolbar. Thanks for any imput.

try to run Yahoo! Mail classic in another browser, like Firefox, and see if it renders properly. If it renders properly in FF, it is a PROBLEM in Ie that we will try to help you with



G'day Thomas ! Thanks for your post. I downloaded Firefox 3.5.1 and the
Toolbar showed up in Yahoo mail . However , Firefox is so slow to load that
it literally puts you to sleep. As promised , how do we work around the
IE missing toolbar. Thanks again.I forgot to ask, what IE version are you using?

I was going to say that, but some users have not been able to put the Pop/Smpt settings in and then make it work in Yahoo Mail. There is a tutorial that might help if you want to use Thunderbird instead of Webmail

If you upgrade to IE6 (the last version of IE compatible with 2000, then it might work as IE6 fixed BUGS and rendering problems in IE5

Thanks Guys . I downloaded IE 6 and everything is now fine. Thanks again. i would recomend ie 7 its more secure and alittle more stable
i personally prefer firefox
