Solve : Missing vgaoem.fon? |
|
Answer» So. my lady was crusin the internet (on an XP os) tonight when it started running extra slow, went to the blue screen and shut down. upon restart we learn that it will not reboot because the file c:\windows\system\vgaoem.fon is missing or corrupt. So I proceeded to find out how to solve this prob. I found that by using an xp disk I can choose to boot from the disk and then repair the missing or corrupt file. So I finally get a command prompt by selecting repair from the options on the xp cd. E:\I386>expand vgaoem.fo_c:\windows\systemYour command is incorrect. It should read: expand e:\i386\vgaoem.fo_c:\windows\systemCan you boot to Safe Mode, go into Device Manager and delete the video driver, then reboot? Alan <>< |
