I need to change the extensions for multiple files using windows xp.

I checked the page on the main site but didn't find it useful (probably because I don't even know how to change directory using dos )

Anyone fancy giving me the dummies guide to changing multiple file extensions using dos? Because it seems as though its impossible using windows alone (HIGHLIGHTING multiple files and renaming doesn't seem to work). Or is there any software out there which can do it for me? (FREE? )Well, you could use a batch file, which will do it for you quickly and easily.
