Answer» Hello, I recently got one of those missing hal.dll problems so i fixed that yesterday and then today when i turned on my computer the monitor wont start up right. theres power goin to it and everything but it won't show the windows and stuff... I think the problem might be that my pc is not going through the POST check right because i dont hear any beeps... Any suggestions?I'm guessing that you installed some drivers, correct? Also, the POST stopped beeping. It used ot beep once, but then this happened, and it stopped.... If you have any advice, please help! I UNDERSTAND that your pc received a power surge.......how did you establish that ? You SAY you reinstalled a missing or corupt dll ........did you reboot your pc after you reinstalled the dll.........and did it boot ok .....or did you just reinstall the dll and then when you were finished doing what you were doing just shut it down ....and the next day when you went to start up it wouldnt ? Are you able to power up and get into the CMOS setup....( thats where you hit the power switch and then press the delete key ......) How do you know there's power going to everything ok ?
I UNDERSTAND that your pc received a power surge.......how did you establish that ?
