I have a Dell COMPUTER about 3 yrs old. Use AVG for virus PROTECTION. Windows Vista.
A few days ago when I start using computer from sleep mode, the mouse arrow is erratic. I MOVE the mouse, but the cursor/arrow is delayed in it's movement. The circle is turning at the arrow/cursor, showing it's in progress.  This takes 3-5 mins to before it starts performing correctly.
 During this time, I can't activate anything...try clicking on IE if I can get the pointer to land on it, but it takes a long time for anything to start working. After about 5 mins. of this, things start working properly.
I"ve run Spybot, and DOWNLOADED another program to clean my pc (forget the name of it at the moment as I'm not at my home computer). NEITHER has helped. It's very annoying.
Anyone have suggestions?  Thank you. 1) Spybot is useless. The current best of breed anti-malware apps are MalwareBytes & SuperAntiSpyware
2) Did you run a full scan with AVG?
3) Download and run a full scan with MalwareBytes
4) I'd like to know what you downloaded and ran to "clean" your pc.
5) What happens in safe mode?
