Answer» I have a logitek cordless OPTICAL mouse, periodically my mouse would start skippng, then work again for a bit,, been goin on about a week. At first it just seemed to happen while playing games but it seems to do it at other times as well. SOOOO I changed my moust to a microsoft optical--but with a cord and it worked better but now, the screen will only refresh while I am movin my mouse. any thoughts? running xp homeA COMMON issue with wireless mice... How far is your mouse from the adapter, or where you get signal from? It should be about 6 inches away, and should have a clear view of the mouse...
[glb]Flame[/glb]No changed mice to one with a cord,, in my games the screen only updates while moving my mouse now. my new mouse works fine on another computer. Updated my graphics drivers when this first strarted as well.Have you scanned for viruses and Spyware? Also, you SHOULD only have one mouse installed becuase of possible driver conflict...
[glb]Flame[/glb]have done full virus scan and spyware scan,, doesnt help,,also doesnt SEEM to be tied to the mouse. To get my screen to update I need to either use my mouse)R keyboard,, If neither are moved it just freezes, gona reload one of my games and see if that helps at all.Have you UNINSTALLED the previous mouse drivers should there be any?k narrowing it down,, doesnt seem to be a mouse problem,, looks like there is a problem with my direct x,, when I run the direct x diagonotics,, and test direct 3d the spinning box only moves when I move my mouse or hit keys on the keypad,, as long as I am not doing anything with graphics my computer seems to be fine.Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers? Also, what version of Direct X are you using?
