Answer» This is probably one of those noob type questions, but i'm cool with that considering i am a noob at this type of stuff. Yeah. Maybe that might be why they call it the public folder. Refer to original POST. In Vista you can also share the public area on the NETWORK. But for security you have to indicate which users on the network are allowed to read and write in the public Ara. In XP this was called Shaded Documents. Not sure why the name change. Anyway glad you got it solved and it seems that it was the right thing to do.The only network I have is my PS3 that's connected to the internet via wireless router. No other PC's/users.I FIND it much easier instead of going to My Documents, just go to Computer -> Local Disk C: -> Users. Then you will see the folders for the different users on your system. Don't click on the folders with a "shortcut" arrow on the icon. Those will give you "Access Denied". Instead click on the folder with the name of the User. That will open a window with a bunch of green folders that you can get into, like Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, etc. |
