Solve : moving from vista to windows 7?

Answer»

i have ran windows 7 upgrade advisor
my system is VISTA home premium 32 bit
it tells me i NEED a free update for my NIVIDA GeForce 8400GT
can anyone hlpGo to the Nvidia website and download and install the latest driverthanks i have been to nvidia site and found update driver Verde 275.50 but iam unsure about running update as it states that my provider sony may have linked keystrokes etc to origanal drivers.I am not an expert on computers therefor uneasy about carrying out upgrade.Sony do not wont to give any assistance and can not find any help on there web page.

many thanks I just noticed that you are talking about a laptop, not a desktop (in the future, please provide as much information in your first post as possible to avoid this sort of confusion). Go to the Sony website and check for an updated driver for your video card. All laptop drivers should always be obtained from the website of the laptop manufacturer.thanks for your reply
this is the first time i have ever used a forum so iam very new to what to put in and not put in
my computer is a sony VGC-LT2S all in one computer
I have searched the sony site in the uk and can not find any reference on how to update drivers on that site hence comming to this forum
and as i previously STATED i phone sony but was told that they would not help and were very rude and disconnected the phone call and looking on internet i am not alone in my dealings with sony uk
any help you can give me would be a great help
many thankshttp://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGC-LT2S/updates

I don't see any Windows 7 Drivers. It's possible your system was not intended to run Windows 7. What you can try is to create a disc image (Macrium Reflect is your best free option) to an off disc MEDIUM (second hd, dvd, etc). Then go ahead and install W7 and see if it will WORK with your current setup. Either it will or it won't. If it doesn't, you can restore the image.
