Answer» I have a sansa clip mp3 which keeps all my music on it. I don't want to put the music onto my computer hard drive because I don't want to USE up the space. So when I listen to music whilst I'm on my laptop I plug in the mp3 player via usb and play the songs through windows media player. This works but not how I would like it to. If I open up windows media player with the device connected, I can view the device is connected on the left hand pane where it says Library, music, videos, pictures it also says Sansa clip. I can click on the device and it opens up and I can browse through the music as if it was an ordinary library on wmp but I can't play any of the songs. I can see the songs but when I click to play them, nothing happens. Up until know, I've been opening the mp3 USING autoplay and play using windows media player. In this case I get all the songs in the right pane under the play tab of the play/burn/sync categories and I can browse the songs under this playlist but this is not ideal for searching songs. I want the songs to be playable in the main middle pane. I hope I have been CLEAR. Thanks.After years of using Windows, I have given up on Windows Media Player. My choice is classic WINAMP.
