Answer» I have thousands of old emails in MS Outlook, 2003 version. When I try to delete most of them (ranging from 2-6 years old) I get this message:
"The MESSAGING interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists RESTART Outlook."
The problem has persisted for around a year - since I started trying to clear out old junk. Restarting Outlook makes no DIFFERENCE. Some of these emails were brought in from other computers when I got a new computer and moved my whole personal folders file, some are newer than that. They are in a variety of folders, not just in my inbox. If I try to move such a non-deletable emails, I get a message saying "Can't move the items."
Does anyone KNOW how I can get past this and delete old emails?
