Solve : mshta.exe ???

Answer»

I'm running Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.

I'm trying to free up space on my computer, but EVERY time I go to Add/REMOVE Programs to delete things, I get two errors. The first one says:
"An unexpected error occured.

Class not registered

 res://appwiz.cpl/listbox.htc
 Line:225"

After clicking OK the program list loads, but when I click a program I get this error
"mshta.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log has been created."

Yeah I have restarted the program several times, as well as my computer. I use avast! antivirus software and I have done extensive scans. It removes one or two things but none seem to help. Any idea of what this errors mean and what I can do to stop them? Any help would be much appreciated.Gee you had me stumped so I researched and got this....File mshta.exe is a COMPONENT of the Windows operating system, It is used for interpreting scripts written in Microsoft Scripting lagnuages. DELETING this file may cause system error. It mentioned this program and how it can help with MSHTA.exe
