Solve : mulitiple "installs" of windows XP Pro?

Answer»

I started out with windows installed on my C:\ drive which was an older model Western Digital 9 GB and that was working fine slow but fine i had a second drive a SATA Western Digital 200 GB (E:\) I decided to install windows XP Pro on the second drive.  The anoying thing is i still had all my programs it just wouldn't accept them as programs.  So I was lazy (and motivated by my mother *shiver*) to switch it BACK (i had never unistalled the other windows) but after i deleted windows off the other drive it was trying to continue to boot to the second drive so i deleted the windows partition on that drive it still tried to default boot to that drive plus now it wasn't showing up in my computer.  I need both these things fixed before my mom KICK my can.  I haven't done anything to the E drive for fear of erasing data i need and KNOW is still there but i just can't see. HELP!!!!!!That is because the boot.ini file was adjusted with the second installation and now will have to be changed back. What does yours say?I have no FREAKING idea!
How do i find outLook for the file in the root of the C drive (not in any folders) and type in exactly what it says when you view it.can i have more detail?
Default boot.ini looks like :
Code: [Select][boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectTo CHANGE it , Right Click on My Computer--Properties--Advanced--Startup and Recovery--Settings--Edit
You'll open a text file. Change it to the form above and save it.
