Solve : Multimedia Audio Controller Not working?

Answer»

Recently installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on a computer that used to have vista.
Wiped and did a clean install but now it keeps saying my multi media audio controller is inactive

When I attempt to install realtek Drivers I get a Stop Error and it says that the drivers are not a "windows LOGGED?" tested file and refuses to install.

Been trying to find a fix for this. I downloaded drivers specific for my soundcard as well but the MultiMedia Audio Controller still won't work.
Are there other driver alternatives to Real Tek? and if so where can I find them?

Thanks for any help in advance. Are you sure it's a RealTek card ? ?
RealTek is mostly onboard sound chips...if you have a card you should be getting the driver from the card Manuf. site.Thats what I am slightly confused by, the Sound Card is NOT realtek, but the drivers for it are up to date. and it shows so under device manager.

Is the Multimedia Audio Controller that is showing errors, What i do not know is that actually a manufacturer specific hardware installed in the computer ( and if so i don't know how to find out the who manufactured it, doesn't seem to say after a Belarc scan )
If its software device I don't know what to use other then RealTek?Some details about my computer.

Edit: I appear to have this Topic in the wrong Forum :/ not sure how to move it.Finally got it!, I completely deleted the installed MultiMedia Audio controller and downloaded the audio drivers SPECIFICALLY for the mother board : ASUSTeK Computer Inc. P4C800 Rev 1.xx

Link for the Drivers : http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P4C800-E%20Deluxe&os=17

I downloaded the first one and installed it, EVERYTHING seems to work now.

Hopefully someone else finds it useful.
