Do you have Windows Xp Home or Professional? Do you have the Service Packs 1 and 2?professional.
not sure about service pack.. how do i find out?Well the easiest way is to open my computer, right click anywhere except on a drive or the toolbar and go down to properties. It will say Your computer name,specs,Operating system and whether it has the service packsi have neither.
what r they?So when you Went to my computer etc. And you saw your specs and its says System: Windows Xp Professional Version 200* and thats all it says for system? The Service packs are updates/upgrades for windows xp I'd advise getting Service Pack 2 soon, you can GET it off the Microsoft site.i have microsoft UPDATE.

im so sorry about all the dumb QUESTIONS.. but on the bright side u guys r probably getting a good laugh at me!!  No ones laughing believe me I've done some pretty stupid stuff coming to computers. I wish Someone smarter then me would say something but, i'll keep rambling on. Windows Service Pack Is 1 a SECURITY update, you're vulnerable to hackers etc. without it. 2. Upgrades, it upgrades stuff (thats all i know  )
