I have Windows XP Home Edition Service PACK 2 (build 2600), and IE6, SP2. Did a clean Windows install on November 15.

When I go to Windows Explore I have two Anna Ruth DOCUMENTS. Right under Desktop is shown My Documents and it has all of My Documents in it. Under Local Disk C, are an All Users folder and an Anna Ruth folder, which lists all of My Documents. But the Anna Ruth folder also has a My Documents folder which again lists all of My Documents.

Also, in Explorer, listed after Control Panel are another Shared Documents folder and another Anna Ruth’s documents folder and in that folder are all of My Documents again. Seems I have duplication. When I used my backup CDs, guess I did something wrong.

Now I am thoroughly confused. Can I delete one of the My Documents folders? Thanks very much.
This means that at one time or another you created a user ACCOUNT with the name Anna Ruth.
Each user set up in Windows has it's own Documents and Settings folder and then one for All Users and yet another for the main account or what's called the Administratoe account.
It probably would be best to compare the main My Documents folder with the Anna Ruth My Documents folder before DELETING it as they may not be exact DUPLICATES and you might lose some things.
