[attachment deleted by admin]Your icon cache might be corrupted. To reset it in Vista...
1) Go to the start menu and open "Computer". 2) In the menu bar, go to "Tools" and then "Folder Options...". 3) In the Folder Options window, go to the "View" tab, select "Show hidden FILES and folders" from the list of options, and click "OK". 4) Back in the Computer window, go to the C drive, "Users", the folder with your username, "AppData", and then "Local". 5) In the Local folder, DELETE the "IconCache" file. 6) In the menu bar, go to "Tools" and then "Folder Options...". 7) In the Folder Options window, go to the "View" tab, select "Do not show hidden files and folders" from the list of options, and click "OK". 8) Restart the computer.
The Pictures icon should come back after your computer has been restarted. That seems to have DONE it.
Thanks Kip and EVERYONE else for helping!
