I'm not sure what to do, and i haven't backed up any of my files in a long time... i can get to the log in screen but after logging in all i get up is my cursor that still moves ((so not quite frozen i guess...)) and the desk top background... i have another account on my computer and i can access that one fine only thing is i cant find any of my files from it...((that may be my own stupidity more than any thing though I have been looking.)) not sure what to do, i made a NEW account again with the intention of deleting the first account and storing the files there but that one didn't load up either... and i am afraid to do any thing big with this account just encase it MESSES up as well any ideas?

p.s I checked my MEMORY just encase it was RUNNING ultra slow or something but i am not even using half of it, and i defragged my computer. but i have lots of free space. And I don't think I downloaded any software recently, though there was an update when I turned my computer off… could this be causing the problems??? though that would have gone to both accounts right?
Your files are still there. Open My Computer. You should see a folder with the other users's Documents.no i'm not showing up there any more.. i only get the second account and shared files on it... i don't know i've done a system search as well and haven't found the files    still same problem as before... Look at this

Good luck!ok.. now i have no idea what happend... i didnt try what was previously posted ((intened to do it when i got home)) but then when i got bakc the om blue screened and then i was alble to log in again    and this message came up twice

there was nothing showing up on virus checker and i used 3.....

oh yeah and e isnt that exsternal devises like a memory stick or somtihng if so should i be checking that as well..
Sounds like you are infected...what protection apps do you have ? ?
