Answer» Hi.
I have a 1.4Ghz Pentium 4 with 512mb of RAM computer running Win XP Home Edition.
The computer can not stay on longer that two hours (literally) before it crashes. Why does it crash so much?
If you need more specs on the computer post what you need to know.
Thanks!Download, unzip, install and run Everest Home Edition Everest Let the computer run for half an hour then... Select Computer>Sensor from the left hand screen. There you go!
Computer has been on a half hour alreadyThat was quick LOL! When it crashes what does it do or not do? Your temps are ok.I'll be doing something and the screen just goes black. It doesn't do anything unusual I NEVER know when it will crash.
But there are things that DO make it crash...these are:
Playing games Watching videos online, large flash animations/videos Sometimes when listening to music'
Basically the computer sucks overall You can't do anything that makes it work. And it shouldn't be overloading the processor with these little things.Try updating your video drivers. They are updated. Everything is updated. What is the computer make and model? How about the power supply and wattage? How old is it?The computer is 5 years old, but it has been crashing since 2.
It's a V2 Premier. A brand they sell on ShopNBC.
Power Wattage..no clueThat seems a reasonable PLACE to start. And then a format and reinstal of Windows, after backing up your data, especially if that is the ORIGINAL load.
