I am using windows 2000 and IE 6. When I click on the My Computer icon, it takes forever to open so that I can click on my G: drive or some of the OTHERS. Often is freezes. Why is this happening.Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows LOGO KEY, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")Windows 2000

My computer is 3 years old. I plan on buying a new one in the next few months.Do the standard maintenence:
Disk clean
Defrag
Check how much free space
Run your protection scans.
Poat back with the results...I did all the standard maintence. I use SpeedupMyPC (don't know if it is any good or not), deleted temp files, disk frag, I use Trend Pc-cillon for my virus protection and ran that. It showed no problems.
