Solve : my computer wont go past the booting stage?

Answer»

im PULLING out my hair, i recently tried to uninstall bearshare and although it said it was uninstalled from my control panel it STILL showed up on my desk top....so i decided to reboot my computer, and now it wont load up windows....my computer is a VISION pc.....no NAME brand that was bought through zellers in canada.....can you tell me how to reformat, or fix the problem to get windows to reload?, before my computer sees the bottom of a rubbish bin...thanks... We can tell you how to fix it, but we need some basic info about your PC.

What operating system are you using?  Win XP, 9X, ME or?

For starters, how far does your PC get when booting the system?  Does it get past POST (power on self-test)?

Can you get into Safe Mode (tap F8 at the end of POST)?

DellAnd do you have a shiny windows CD?hi guys.....ok well the computer i have used to have windows xp in french, so i took it to some computer store where they PUT in windows 95...i downloaded windows xp and that is what it is now...it gets past the memory test however goes into the page that says start windows in safe, configure when working good .... and start normally, i try to do all of those and it just keeps rebooting, not allowing windows to start in any mode...and no i dont have a windows cdGo and get a shiny new windows disk you should be able to get W2K for next to nothing ok, so no way to fix the one i already have???  And how do i reformat back to basics without getting into windows?  is there a button like F8 etc that i can press? One day you will curse yourself for not getting an OS disk, aside from today I mean.If you downloaded it, it is not legal, so no guarantees from anyone, especially Microsoft.

There is no "easy" button so invest in legal software to avoid surprises.

cursing isnt the word for what im going through right now...lol..psychotic breakdown suits it much better...lmao ....alright so right now i have my computer booting page in the windows advanced options menu and ive tried booting it in debugging mode...dosent work, tried in safe...dosent work...ive tried it in directory services restore mode...nope no dice.....so what should i do to get it going? ... i swear if jerry springer had a show on psycho computer women....id be a candidate..lol....i appreciate all the help i can get...thanks so much<>
