Solve : my connection only flashes?

1.	Solve : my connection only flashes?
Answer» I have dsl MODEM wire I reconnected to the bell south services, I double click IE xp and my home page GOGGLE flashes up on the screen for less than two seconds. Can you pleases suggest a setting or some reason this problem is happening? Also I NOTICED I can not type into a window. I tried going to recovery to reset and the dates and calender does not show up nor lets me type in a DATE, when I reboot I have GOTTEN home page to pop up only to lock up when I try to type in the address bar.
