Solve : My Monitor Doesn't Come On Anymore...? |

Answer» HELLO all, Was wondering if anyone is familiar with this problem? When I turn my computer on, the monitor simply doesn't load up anymore. I press the button to turn it on and it comes up with the message "No SIGNAL input or cable disconnected". The monitor is plugged in and all the cables are plugged in where they should be. I have removed them and reconnected them and nothing happens. Can anyone help? Thanks. EDIT: It may also be worth mentioning that I've had this computer for 5 and a half years and had a string of problems with it... It has SPENT more time in repair than with me. Specialists have even struggled with it at times. It used to be Windows ME but was upgraded to Windows XP. Have you tried another video card,or monitor,or both? How does the monitor work on another computer?Hello, I haven't tried a video card... to be honest, I'm not that up on computers so I'd probably struggle with that! I haven't tried another monitor. I don't really want to get one unless there is no way I can fix it. I'm on my sister's laptop at the moment, but I only have it for 3 weeks.Does your sisters laptop have an OUTLET for an external monitor? So, you could CHECK yours? If that works the monitor ain't bad. Alternatively check your monitor on a friends computer.Yeah, like their refering to your video card or your moniter, the only way to weed it out is to test the moniter on anouther computer. Obviusly if it works on the other computer the moniter is fine and you need a new video card. |
