Solve : My old co worker built my computer, its running XP. I have no registration for? |

Answer» I have a computer that has issues from time to time. THINGS run slow, freeze up. I have all the anti virus software running and I was THINKING about backing up my important files and just re installing XP. I have no disc so I am going to buy one (and maybe go to the XP HOME EDITION). My question is, if I wanted to INSTEAD upgrade to Windows 7 Home (it says I can upgrade from XP) will I have problems if I cannot provide my KEY for the current software? If that software is running poorly, would upgrading to Windows 7 make that run poorly also? Is it a totally DIFFERENT program that erases XP or does it build off of it? Should I just buy a new XP disc and re install? If I buy the XP HOME EDITION do I have to remove the old program first or can I just PUT in the new disc and it will automatically remove it and install the new? I am lost. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase the upgrade version. |
