Solve : My PC switches off whenever I launch a print? |

Answer» I am using Windows XP and since some four days each time I click on Printer or Print my PC automatically switches off. I did not install any software LASTLY. I did not re-install the driver for printer. In FACT the printers I am using are all network printers. I scanned for viruses with AVG 8.0; many were detected. Are your "network" printers attached directly to different host computers via one of their local interfaces (serial, parallel, USB)? If so, what operating system(s) are the host computers using? Or are they attached directly to the network? Basically, I'm wondering whether your print drivers are downloaded automatically from host computer or whether you must install them manually on your computer. Is your computer the only one having problems accessing the printers? 2. Safe Mode with Networking. Boot to "Safe Mode with Networking" and try accessing printer from there. Don't KNOW if this is possible. Of course, even if it is; you'd be using same print drivers as normal mode. 3. Viruses. I don't do "viruses". |
