Well, I turned on my laptop and as it was loading, the START screen popped up for no reason. Then msn popped up because it does automatically. I went to close the start up screen but the mouse pad didn't work, so I pressed the start button on the key board but nothing happened. I made sure I had the mouse pad on, and I did, so I just assumed the screen froze, so I turned it off. I waited for a few seconds, then I pushed the power button. All the buttons on the keyboard lit up but the screen stayed blank. I waited for a couple minutes but nothing happened. So I turned it off and tried again, but still, the screen stayed blank. I thought maybe it overheated so I left it for an hour and tried again, but it still didn't turn on. The laptop had worked earlier that morning too. I had just turned it off for a few hours while I got ready for the day. I didn't change anything at all, and I have only had this laptop for a year and a half. It is an HP Pavillion. I don't know how much information you need, but I hope you can help. Thank you.Someone told me that I could have fried the wires. I used it for quite a long time LAST night, but it worked again this morning. I am going to take it into future shop if there is nothing else I can do.Is it still under warranty?
