Solve : My Windsows XP Won't start?

Answer»

Everything I turn on my computer it starts in the black screen where I have the options to start it: with Safe mode, last known config, and normally

All ways of starting it lead to it to the screen where the green BAR is loading but soon after, the whole thing restarts/reboots itself and i find myself back at that black screen

I cannot login, reformat it, or do anything to restore it

Can anyone please tell me how to fix it and what the problem is?

Thank You

BTW I lack a Window XP CD Home Edition Disk
Using your Windows CD, try to do a repair install.and you can see your device as video card , ram ... i think them can meet problem.

You can open and clean them . then , you plug them very reliably.Any recent changes to the computer, or it just happened?Recently anything happen? Not that I know of

My gparents gave me this computer SPECIFICALLY because it WONT start so they decided that it was worthless

I have tried using the WinXP Home Edition CD-Rom and made 6 Floppy Drives and used them but when I go into the recovery console PART, the computer stays on the same blue screen examining this one disk forever

Basically I feel that this computer is hopeless, plz helpWhat does the blue screen say?
What's the brand, and model of the computer?
Do you have any disks? Recovery CD, Windows CD? Quote from: Broni on June 16, 2009, 07:40:20 PM

Do you have any disks? Recovery CD, Windows CD?

I'm confused here. The first post was edited to say they don't have a DISC, but then they said they used a disc. I'm a bit lost here, is there a CD or not?Update: I used a Windows XP Home Edition SP2 CD-Rom, made the 6 Floppies and was able to go to the recovery console, but from there I have no clue how to work the command prompt looking thing

Alternatively I could choose to install the Windows XP onto my computer but for some reason my computer never ever recognizes my CD and tells me to insert the CD...again

Basically I'm screwed

Uh, I went on to microsoft to download the installation cd so I guess I now have a copy of windows xp home edition sp2 Quote
I went on to microsoft to download the installation cd
Did you say torrent?
Micro$oft doesn't provide Windows downloads.well no, I went specifically on the microsoft site and found the windows xp setup disk and downloaded it

You mean the 6 set of floppies for the Recovery Console ? ?Either that the download for the bootable floppy for computers that can't BOOT from a CD.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=e8fe6868-6e4f-471c-b455-bd5afee126d8

But there is no download for the actual Windows XP CD.Vivace there are 2 commands you can try to fix this with...
Load the 6 set of floppies which will load the RC and leave you at a command prompt...
At the prompt type in fixboot and hit Enter...
Remove any floppies and CD's and re-boot...
If this doesn't work repeat the above except this time type in fixmbr and hit Enter...
Best of Luck.
