Solve : Need a network scanner? |
|
Answer» Is there a tool that displays Operating System/Ram/Processors/HDD SPACE/ other system information for every computer on the network? This if FREEWARE....I've never used it, but it appears legit....Possibly what you're looking for.....there is a user manual to look at beforehand on the right side of the web PAGE... Not exactly, but very handy. My corporate office is just asking me for the system info of every PC in my facility, which is about 280. I'm just hoping there's an easier way.I assume you're the Network Admin for your facility. It depends on how you currently manage your network. MS should have network admin tools for this, which is likely a component of Windows Server 2003.>Spiceworks< is just about the best free tool for this job. It's best if you dedicate a machine (an XP box will do) to running Spiceworks, since it can chew up a lot of resources when it's scanning. Leave it on 24/7. You'll be mightily impressed.Wow, exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!Rob's the Man... Especially when it COMES to software goodies.Cheers Pat! Have fun, prosportal. |
