It depends on how you currently manage your network. MS should have network admin tools for this, which is likely a component of Windows Server 2003.>Spiceworks< is just about the best free tool for this job. It's best if you dedicate a machine (an XP box will do) to running Spiceworks, since it can chew up a lot of resources when it's scanning. Leave it on 24/7. I assume you're the Network Admin for your facility. It depends on how you currently manage your network.
