Answer» Ok, the situation is that I do posses a Laptop, TOSHIBA Satellite Pro. The problem is so that i can not format it, because it wont start from DVD ROM/CD RW with the Windows XP SP2 CD on it. Usually it can read all kind of CD's or DVD's after Operating System is loaded.
When i CHECK the Device Manager it shows me that the DVD ROM/CD RW device driver is installed and works properly. Any advice please it will be welcome. You need to put the dvd DRIVE at the top of the boot order in bios.I tried that, but somehow it can not read the CD. I forgot to tell you that i tried with two Windows OS CD's and the result is the same.
CheersHomemade Windows CD's ? ? Or do they have shiny holograms and say Microsoft all over them ? ?If they are indeed ORIGINAL, retail cd's then the dvd drive is NOT at the top of the boot order in bios OR the optical drive is defective.
