Answer» hello people i am pretty good with puters but i have a problem. i bought a gateway computer at an estate auction i was getting it for my daughter. well when i got it home i hooked it up and it started up but then it ASKS "enter CURRENT password" i have no idea what it is. i tried going into setup but still asks for a password.i cant do anything at all without this password i EVEN tried inserting a windows disk and still nothing. the OS is win98. Is there anyway to bypss this so my daughter can use her pc?This is actually a password set through the BIOS. Normally, we don't ASSIST with CIRCUMVENTING passwords on this forum. I'll let the mods view this topic and let them answer the question if they deem FIT.
