Answer» Hi!
I've got a WIndows Vista Laptop. I've had it for a while, and until now it has been working fine. A couple of days ago, I encountered a problem. The computer is turning on, but it's not starting like it should. It keeps telling me there is a problem with the kernel. I don't need the computer fixed (although if anyone could help me with that, it WOULD be GREAT). All I acutually want is to retrieve the INFO from my laptop and put it onto another computer, if there is anything to save. I was told that my info was still in the computer somewhere, and has a chance of being saved. Thanks in advance for any help! Are you able to get to Safe Mode, or Safe Mode with Command Prompt?
POWER on the computer and tap F8 until you come to Advanced Options... Select Safe Mode and see if it will let you in... If not, TRY Safe Mode with Command Prompt...
