Solve : Need help urgently with desk top PC?

Answer»

Hello, I am leaving the country on a business trip and I will not be able to communicate via email with my FAMILY due to desk top computer problems. I am running windows xp, when I start the computer it will go into safe mode. However when I select any of the options, ie, safe mode, safe mode with networking etc. the computer looks like it is starting to do what I selected, and then after a few flashes, goes back to the safe mode selection screen. Regardless of which selection I make it always does the same thing. I have a ton of pictures on the hard drive and do not want to wipe them out.... Please help!!!Do you have your XP CD?No, I never received one when I bought the computer & I have not been able to contact the COMPANY that built it.You're gonna need a XP CD to fix your computer.

You can try this:

Download Windows RECOVERY Console: http://www.thecomputerparamedic.com/files/rc.iso
Download, and install free IMGBURN: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Using Imgburn, burn rc.iso to a CD.
Boot to the CD...let it finish loading.
When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
Then, follow the steps from here: http://icrontic.com/articles/repair_windows_xp, starting below this PICTURE on page 1:
