Solve : Need help with HP Pavilion 2x5000 laptop?

My HP Pavilion 2x5000 laptop, won't power up for me.
When I push the on button to turn it on, the INDICATOR LIGHTS come on but it won't turn on. Once I remove my finger from the on button the indicator lights go off.
This happens when I try to use it with the battery or wall cord.
Any suggestions? Thanks
Is this a NEW laptop? Since when did this happen? Have you tried just AC power with the battery removed ? ?
