I have just one user account. i wish to  create another one which i  want to use exclusively for some work. I have TRIED creating user accounts but then they pull up all the softwares of my existing user account.

I have seen in many offices using Windows XP, when a user logs in he has completely different look and softwares ETC. When second user logs in using his Username and password its again completely different desktop and start menu etc.

Is there a way of doing it??

 i can install multiple OS on two partitions and that will do. BUt is there any other way of doin it?

What they did in the office was create the user accounts FIRST before installing the software and what not.

It should......but you will loose EVERYTHING if you reinstall Windows.

If you create the new account the way you said you tried, you can just delete the program shortcuts (not the programs themselves).

Also il try creating the user account the way you said.

I suggest only doing this, unless you are willing to reinstall all your programs and stuff.
