Answer» i have a toshiba with windows vista. window install new updates and need to restart, so i restarted it. when it started it go's to this window(to SAY) where it says it configuring new updates and show the percentage complete berfore letting me log into the computer, it does this eveytime, but this time it stayed on this window for about 7 hours before i turned off the computer (i really didnt want to because it says "do not turn off computer", but i had to). when it restared i selected the option of "starting window normaly" and when i loged in everyting went weird. on task manager it was running about 50 task, usally runs about 70. everything expect the internet is super slow and when i put in the reboot disc it takes forever and then ends up say that the program did not run at a timely fahion.(wierd i know). i need help. there no virus or malware in the computer either.Sounds like those updates did something screwy. Also, 50-70 processes is alot! I'm running at 30 processes. This would slow down your computer. naw dude I run around 78 processes average. And I dont see any slowdown with my computer. My brother has a dell xps gaming laptop with 6 GB Ram. HES got about 90. But of course hes a gamer and always has stuff running. |
