Solve : Need to access "My Documents" from another hard drive?

Answer»

I am runnuning Windows XP.

I TRIED to uninstall Norton MANUALLY and messed up my registery.

I have installed and setup a different hard drive. My old one is now my d: drive. All I need to do is access my information in "My Documents" folder on my d: drive.

It comes up saying access denied.

Please help remove norton

where able to access the documents before TRYING to remove norton??Edit: Looks like UnlovedWarrior beat me to it

Please see the following on TAKING Ownership of a File or Folder from the Microsoft website:

You might want to search the Symantec website for a file CALLED RNAV.EXE
(RemoveNortonAntivirus) No longer worried about removing Norton.

I have setup a new hard drive with XP Home and all is fine.

What I do need is to access my documents on my old hard drive which now my d: drive.

The files are there I just can't access them. It keeps saying access denied.follow Z advise and read the link
