I have the necessary equipment to back up data from a non booting laptop hard drive to another laptop. If I get an external HD, is it POSSIBLE to hook the external HD and the non booting HD to a common laptop and transfer data from the non booting HD to the ext HD.

I woulda backed up the data from the non boot HD to the laptop if I had enough memory, but I dont and thats why I want to transfer the data to the ext HD. Is it possible?


One of thes is 8 to 10 Bucks....HOOKS up any laptop drive to an IDE ribbon cable in a Desktop machine....

Yes I have one of those, and I can hook up my laptop to the non booting hd and I can see the files and folders. Is it posssible to attach an ext HD to my laptop as well so that instead of transferring data from that hd to my laptop, I transfer it to the ext hd.
