Solve : Need to change the boot settings of my hard drive. (I think)?

Answer»

Information:

Running Windows 7, fully updated.

History:
Problem originally OCCURRED when doing a partition of my main DRIVE.
Partition failed, computer failed to boot.
Attempted cmd fixes, complete system restore.
Found out through more diagnosis that my main HARD drive was set to inactive, somehow.
Set BIOS to load defaults and save changes, computer booted.

The Now:

Every time I start my computer, it fails to boot. If I go into the BIOS and load defaults, it boots without trouble. This normally wouldn't be a big problem, but my keyboard does not work before the computer is loaded (For those interested, Razer Tarantula). Getting another keyboard every time I need to restart is getting old.

So, why are my BIOS reverting to the bad settings on every boot, and how can I change them?

Thank you in advance for your time!Try replacing the CMOS battery on the MBoard...Part # CR2032...available anywhere...

Make sure all power is removed 1st.Will it void my warranty to replace it myself? If it's under warranty i always suggest taking it back...Fair enough. Thank you very much. I hadn't considered it was a HARDWARE problem.
