i installed windows ultimate and an Asus EEE pc 1001pxd. The netbook has one 1gb of memory installed but as i finished installation it initially took about ten mins to boot. After a few days it will not boot anymore. it shows the windows boot choices and i used "start windows normal". But after several mins it gives me options
1. Restore
2. startup repair
3.memory diagnostic
4. Command prompt (i am just summarizing the names of the 4 choices that it gave me)
i chose startup repair but after almost an hour it can't boot.What OS did the netbook originally ship with? To get your netbook working first you may want to FOLLOW these instructions to access your Recovery Partition to get it working again:

If you want to stress-test your system to check for hardware errors you might want to USE the following programs:
IntelBurnTest for your CPU: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/IntelBurnTest.shtml RUN it on Standard, 1024MB, for 10 passes. If your system gets unstable in the process it will tell you.
MemTest86+ for your RAM: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/Memtest86-plus.shtml Run it for 10 passes. It will INDICATE if there is a read/write error if your RAM is faulty.
