Answer» We don't have a dvd drive in this unit an want to install a different copy of windows on to a Dell Dimension 8200. Trying to figure out how to SET it up to do this. If nothing else, I'll attach one via usb when I get the chance too.You can install Windows through the use of a USB flash drive if the computer will support booting off it. There isn't ANYWAY you can directly boot off a DVD / CD in the DVD drive of another PC, you can set up a server that will let you do a PXE boot, but that's so much more hassle than it's worth.This should be fun...I was able to pull one from a MACHINE that I'm trying to build. Just attempting to make do with what I had at the time an didn't feel up to pulling one from a working unit. Going to attach the drive EXTERNAL an do the installation.Yet another waste of our time.
