Answer» Hi, I set up a RAID 10 array USING 4 hd's and an LSI 4 drive pci board. I partitioned the drives into a C,D, and E drives, with the C drive being 5 gbs. That has turned out to be too SMALL for what goes to the C drive ( restore points, temp files, etc.) Program and data files go to the D and E drives. I would like to hook a 30 gb HD up to the Motherboard through the IDE channel on the mb, and make that the C boot drive. Is it POSSIBLE to change the C boot drive to the new HD and reassign the 5 gb's to drive F, and keep all the settings and info that are on the C drive now? Can I just hook the drive up, mirror the old C and the new C, then reboot? Will the OS look to the onboard IDE channel before the PCI board? I am running XP Pro. Thanks in advance. docbob DOUBLE POST
