Answer» I just purchased a NEW SONY vgn-nw275f/b with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. I followed the quick start instructions and downloaded the Windows Updates as recommended. Once I was prompted to restart the computer, over an hour AGO now, I still have the message on my screen "Preparing to configure Windows...Do not turn off your computer". How long should updating computer take? The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.It may take several MINUTES, depending on number of updates, but not over an hour. Bring it back to the store.
