Answer» I have a one-month old Systemax PC (Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz, 3 GB Mem, 320 GB hard Drive, etc.) supplied with "Windows 7 PRO 64-Bit/Downgrade to XP Pro 32-Bit". In actuality this means XP Pro is running in the PC and 7 Pro is on a software disc. I take it that this was done because 7 is "not quite ready for prime time", and one should wait for the majority of bugs to be vetted before switching to the new 7? Please give me your "take" on when (if, why, or why not) to switch.Some MAKERS have done this for a number of reasons. "Not ready"would not be the RIGHT answer. Microsoft sent the final version of Windows 7 before it was released in the retail chins. Or that is what we were told. A more likely reason is the makes did not have a suitable 64 bit driver(s) ready for the system while it was being packaged.
